Well folks, it’s happened — I am officially an awards finalist. I pretty much fell off my chair (bed, let’s be real, I was in bed).

My personal essay, ‘Who Gets to Be Mentally Ill?’ published in The Walrus has been selected as a finalist in the Digital Publishing Awards, Best Personal Essay category!

Winners will be announced in June. Fingers crossed!
